Honduran and South Louisiana inspired
Five O Four is a food truck concept focusing on Honduran-Creole culture and cuisine. Our main goal is to introduce local communities to modern takes on traditional recipes.
Five O Four’s name comes from the likeness of two port cities sharing the same area code. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Honduran parents, I spent summers walking to the pulperia in Puerto Cortes and cooking with my Tía Berna while also observing my godmothers run their New Orleans Italian restaurant.
The largest Honduran-American community in the U.S. is based in New Orleans with many coming in as political migrants and job-seekers.
After being displaced by Hurricane Katrina, my family eventually moved to Lafayette, Louisiana where I spent my adolescent years surrounded by the bold flavors of Cajun/Creole culture and cuisine.
We pride ourselves on using quality ingredients and providing a hospitality that offers an authentic experience reflective of times spent with family and friends!
